A joint cooperation agreement was signed between the Egyptian Medical Investments Company (ECMI)—affiliated with the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement—the Japanese company JMS (a global leader in manufacturing high-quality blood collection bags and medical supplies), and Inter-Pharm for Medical Export, Import, and Trade (the exclusive agent for JMS Japan).

The agreement aims to manufacture blood collection bags locally according to international standards. This project serves as the formal activation of a previous announcement regarding the launch of a project to localize the manufacturing of blood collection bags. This initiative will help secure local healthcare needs and increase medical exports.

This agreement aligns with the Egyptian state's strategic directions to strengthen local industry and localize medical technology industries for pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, and devices.

The agreement was signed by:

• Dr. Osama Abdel Basset, Chairman of the Egyptian Medical Investments Company.
• Dr. Ahmed Samy, Chairman of Inter-Pharm for Medical Industries.
• Mr. Sato Masafumi, Executive Director of the Japanese company JMS.
